Beneath My Skin -

Walking towards the unknown,

I left the deserted town

Just outside an ancient jungle

A gray maze all around

Miles and miles, step by step

soon I’ll meet my fate

Suddenly, the empty silence

was taken by a heavy breath

As I ran through the trees,

When evil steps followed me.

Black shadows roamed in the night,

Everywhere, everytime in my sight.

Thorns and branches were tearing my skin,

I ran for my life and they made me bleed

Again I am trapped with nowhere to go

An endless lake lies peaceful and cold

blocking my every way out of this nightmare.

A path of destruction left by the foul beast.

Frightened I was and I stumbled back,

falling into the icy waters

I glimpsed it’s reflex and terrified I got,

Swim away was all I could think of

But I realized I wasn’t being chased,

the evil beast and the frightened me were the same

and I will always have it beneath my skin
