The upper hand

I’ve walked the line but now it’s getting old

The aggravation it leaves me hanging onto self control

All the weight on my shoulders I feel the air getting colder

But I’m not gonna give up now

Is there enough in me to get back up when I’m broken?

Broken down no hope to be found

In this life we all have reasons, now let’s play the game

I never wanted it to be this way let’s make a turn around

From yesterday let’s get back to the days

When we had it figured out

Our lives played like cards in a loaded deck

We always had the upper hand
