I made a statue out of us

To prove that we would always be in love

But now it’s lonely in the park

No one even stops to wonder who we are

And the birds come by

To stay a while

On top of our stone smiles

Those ancient times

I don’t really know why

I made a painting out of us

And filled it with the colors that we love

But I sold it sometime in the move

When you said I couldn’t stay with you

But when people walk by

In the gallery lights

I hope they see our lives

Through brand new eyes

Cuz I don’t really know why

I found some photographs of us

Wrote on the back that we were happy once

And I tried to mail it to your house

But the mailman said that no one lives there now

And you’re not online

You left no signs

I guess that that’s just life

People float by
