Wind in pale sunlight

Raising ashes from the ground

Once city full of life

Now is dreary, dark profound

I can’t remember day when everything’s changed

And my world turned into dust… I am the last!

Now it’s a shadow of old beauty and might

It had before we’ve lost the fight

Before… green paradise

Now rusted metal, poisoned lakes

We’ve been too proud and blind

But paid in full for our mistakes

Day turns into night

And my demons creep out from the depth of my soul

To remind me of horror we’ve made

I close my eyes but I can’t make these thoughts go away

I wish I could return for one day

Hope

Only hope makes me try to survive one more day

To move forward until I can find

Way to restore what was lost… I am carried away

I might be the last hope for mankind
