Cançó de Nadal - Sau

Quan la pluja fa remor de tren, quan la gent s’afanya pel carrer

Quan s’encén un llum, sempre es fa més gran la tristesa

Vaig pintant somriures de paper, sospesant el temps entre les mans

L’aire s’ha enfosquit i la nova nit passa de pressa

I l’hivern que ja arribat, em porta vora el foc

El pensament d’altres temps millors

I els carrers engalanats amb els llums de colors

Et fan sorgir entre els meus records de Nadal

Estirat sobre un jardí de neu faig dormir les mans dins de l’abric

Miro cap al cel i el veig tremolar com un estel

Tirem pedres a tots els fanals, caminant amb el pas imprecís

Volem veure si hi ha, darrera el núvol gris, la nostra estrella

Tants desitjos de prosperitat.

La tendresa es fa provisional

Tan de bo tot això fos real i es quedés aquí, molt més enllà de Nadal

When the rain makes a train rumble, when people rush down the street

When a light is lit, the sadness is always greater

I paint paper smiles, weighing the time between my hands

The air has darkened and the new night passes quickly

And the winter that has already arrived, brings me to the fire

The thought of other, better times

And the streets decorated with colored lights

They bring you to my Christmas memories

Lying on a snow garden, I let my hands fall asleep inside my coat

I look up at the sky and see it fluttering like a kite

We throw stones at all the lampposts, walking with an imprecise step

We want to see if there is, behind the gray cloud, our star

Many wishes for prosperity.

Tenderness becomes temporary

If only this was all real and stayed here, long past Christmas
