Within the onyx seas of my mind

Something interferes

Shrouding my precious light

Solar eclipse

I open my eyes and gaze

At the dimmed existence of mine

I don’t know where I am

And where my inner sanctuary has gone

My head is spinning in all directions

Everything’s so blurry

Sweat slowly covers me

I am embraced by anxiety

I can’t hear anything

All the sounds are far too distant

But I can vividly hear a voice in my head

Asking me to do the irreversible

Broken knife and crushed pills

Lay on the cold ground

I want to die… but I can’t

I know this sickness is temporary

Maybe I’m falling unconscious

Maybe I’m regaining self control

But I am returning where I once was
