Августовско љето '92-е

Суморно је било и пуно туге

Крварила рана тешка, горућа

Херојски се бранила Тиња и Смолућа

Три мјесеца пуна тако сама

Опкољена била са свих страна

Данима тако све у круг се врти,

А живот је био само корак до смрти

Чекали су душмани као гладни вуци

Чекали тренутак са каменом у руци

Стигла браћа гардисти, све сами јунаци

Да спасе дјечака уплаканој мајци

Била нам је свима тешка рана

Последњих врелих августовских дана

Крварила рана тешка, горућа

Херојски се бранила Тиња и Смолућа

Сузама и срећом заливена лица

К’о уморно јато рањених птица

Тамо је и камен почео да плаче,

А обруч се стезао све јаче и јаче

Чекали су душмани као гладни вуци

Чекали тренутак са каменом у руци

Стигла браћа гардисти, све сами јунаци

Да спасе дјечака уплаканој мајци

August '92 summer

It was gloomy and a lot of sadness

The wound was bleeding heavy, burning

Tinja and Smoluća defended themselves heroically

Three months full so alone

She was surrounded on all sides

For days everything revolves around,

And life was just a step to death

The enemies waited like hungry wolves

They waited a moment with a stone in their hand

The guard brothers arrived, all heroes themselves

To save the boy from a crying mother

It was a severe wound for all of us

The last hot days of August

The wound was bleeding heavy, burning

Tinja and Smoluća defended themselves heroically

Faces filled with tears and happiness

Like a weary flock of wounded birds

That's where the stone started crying,

And the hoop tightened harder and harder
