Ich hab' eben im Café einen Mann geseh’n

Der hat erzählt, er kann die Welt nicht mehr versteh’n

Er hat das Leben bis ins Allerkleinste ausgecheckt

Doch gibt es irgendwas, das sich vor ihm versteckt

Er sagt, er glaubt nicht an die Kirche, aber betet

Hofft auf das Wunder, trotz klarem Verstand

Und vielleicht ist da noch mehr zwischen den Teilchen

Das man nicht erklären kann

Wir alle hoffen, kämpfen, suchen jeden Tag

Unser Leben ist vollkomm’n durchgeplant

Wir halten fest an dem, was man erklären kann

Doch was wir suchen, bleibt unsichtbar

Wir könn'n da raus geh’n und für all das Glück bezahl’n

Und versuchen, unser Leben aufzumal’n

Doch was wichtig ist, liegt nicht in unsrer Hand

Der eine glaubt an Gott und Leben nach dem Tod

Er sagt, wenn er die Augen schließt, fliegt er los

Die Antwort liegt mit Sicherheit im Detail

Doch wir sind alle dafür noch nicht bereit

Er kann mir selber nicht erklären, was es ist

Doch will es glauben und klammert sich daran

Denn vielleicht ist da noch mehr zwischen den Teilchen

Das er nicht verstehen kann

But we're not all ready for that yet
