Die Nachrichten, die Grußbotschaften

Die an Klavier und Kühlschtranktür

An Spiegel, Spind und Spüle haften

Mit Tesa, — ich lieb' Dich dafür!

's ist Zeit, dass ich Dir einmal sag':

Oh, wie ich Deine Zettel mag!

Kommandos und Liebesbeweise:

Gut' Nacht — Pizza im Tiefkühlfach —

Kaffee ist alle — bin noch wach —

Die Kinder schlafen schon — komm leise!

Die Denkdrans, die Vergissmeinnichte

Die Einkaufslisten, das sind sie

Die wirklichen Lebensgedichte

Das ist die wahre Poesie!

Zahnpasta fehlt und Du mir auch!

Oh, wie ich Deine Zettel brauch'!

Die großen Dramen und die kleinen

Das ganze Leben schreibst Du mir

Auf wisch und weg- und Brotpapier

Auf Kassenbons und Busfahrscheinen

Malst Skizzen in die kleinste Ecke:

Die Aktzeichnung als Selbstportrait

Die ich im Brotbeutel entdecke

Wenn ich im Bäckerladen steh'

«Was soll’s denn sein, ja Sie sind dran!»

Oh, wie macht mich Dein Zettel an!

Am Telefon, bei der Zahnbürste

Unterm Kopfkissen und im Hut:

«Du schaffst das schon, alles wird gut!»

Wie ich nach Deinen Zetteln dürste!

Lass Lebenszeichen und Weisheiten

Lass Wünsche mich im Portemonnaie

Und in Gesäßtaschen begleiten

Wo immer ich auch geh und steh!

Ich hab' nur diesen Wunsch allein:

Lass immer Deine Zettel um mich sein!

How much do I love your notes?

The messages, the greetings

The ones on the piano and fridge door

Stick to mirror, locker and sink

Oh how I like your notes!

Commands and tokens of love:

Good night — pizza in the freezer —

I'm out of coffee - I'm still awake -

The children are already asleep — come quietly!

The thoughts, the forget-me-nots

The shopping lists, that's what they are

This is real poetry!

Toothpaste is missing and so am I!

Oh, how I need your note!

The big dramas and the small ones

You write to me all your life

On smudge and away and bread paper

On receipts and bus tickets

Draw sketches in the smallest corner:

The nude drawing as a self-portrait

Which I discover in the bread bag

When I'm in the bakery

"What should it be, yes it's your turn!"

Oh how your note turns me on!

On the phone, at the toothbrush

Under the pillow and in the hat:

«You can do it, everything will be fine!»

How I thirst for your notes!

Leave signs of life and wisdom

Leave wishes in my wallet

And accompany in back pockets

Wherever I go and stand!

I only have this wish alone:

Always keep your notes around me!
