Und ich, ich möchte einfach nur im Gras 'rumsitzen

Die Ameise den Krümel tragen sehn

Und Eidechsen, die über Mauerritzen flitzen

Libellen, die still überm Tümpel stehn

Die Kellerassel mit den dünnen, kleinen Beinen

Die ihren schweren Leib nachhause schleppt

Joggen?

Jetzt lieber nicht und Fitnessdrink auch keinen

Und keinen, der mein altes Fahrrad noch zum Bike aufpeppt

Surfen, skaten und snow-boarden

Von der Brücke fall’n am Strick

Grellbunt aufgestylte Horden

Auf der Suche nach dem Kick

Alle trekken

Wie die Jecken

Wie die Deppen

Das Gekletter

Auf die Bretter

Bringt’s total:

Immer teurer, immer bunter, immer öfter ins Spital!

Und ich, ich möchte einfach nur am Strand 'rumliegen

Die warme Sonne spür'n auf meinem Fell

Die Wellen plätschern hör'n, sehn, wie die Möwen fliegen

Und gar nichts tun und das auch ja nicht schnell

Ich laß Muscheln und Sand durch meine Finger rinnen

Ein Glas Wein durch meine Kehle, kühl und herb

Ich weiß, mit mir, da kann man kein Turnier gewinnen

Und auch keinen Pokal und keinen Strandburgwettbewerb

Alle wollen, alle müssen

Stets dabeisein und sichtbar

Jemand grüßen, jemand küssen

Immer hipper, immer flipper, immer hopper, immer popper

Immer dreister und zeitgeister, immerhin!

Und ich, ich möchte einfach nur den Regen schmecken

Den Windhauch spür'n, die Wolken ziehen sehn

Und Fabelwesen und Gesichter drin entdecken

Und wenn schon gehen, dann nur müßiggehn

Ich übe, mich tot stell’n, absagen und verschieben

Die Zeit tropfen hör'n, eh der Quell versiegt

Ich möchte einfach nur gern leben und Dich lieben

Wenn darin nun mal meine wirkliche Begabung liegt

The woodlouse with the thin, small legs

And no one who spices up my old bike into a bike

More and more expensive, more and more colourful, more and more often in the hospital!

And me, I just want to lay around on the beach

Feel the warm sun on my fur

Hear the waves splash, see the seagulls fly

And do nothing at all and not quickly either

I let seashells and sand run through my fingers

A glass of wine down my throat, cool and tart

I know you can't win a tournament with me

And also no cup and no beach castle competition

Everyone wants, everyone has to

Always be present and visible

Greet someone, kiss someone

In the relationship seminar

And in the flamenco troupe

Into belly dance therapy

In the self-awareness group

In the cool gallery
