Я на поле выйду, полная луна.

Обернусь вновь волком, славная зима.

Рысью на охоту, белые снега,

Чья-то кровь прольётся, но не моя!

Мне не доверяли, ненависть в глазах,

Род мой проклинали, мать была в слезах.

Прочь из царства пыли, коренных лесов!

Еле оторвался я от гончих псов!

Путь мой предначертан, так из года в год…

И луна сверкает, под когтями лёд.

Человек родился с волчьею душой,

Жил я средь людей, но бежал на вой.

Привкус сладкой крови, белые клыки

Стал для них изгоем — то закон толпы.

В сердце жар охоты — нет моей вины.

Вынужден принять я правила игры.

Лунною дорогой, да по льду реки

Я несусь как ветер, и отстали псы.

За рекой темнеет чистая земля.
