I’ve been running the gamut

I’ve been shaken to the core

One last cut before the knife went dull

A last bite before our bellies are full

Every word emblazoned with incandescence

Every rejection faced without indifference

The last letter before the ink went dry

Yet it’s always the truth that’s so touch and go

Will you be the one to coax me to believe it was all my fault when we’re left

out in the cold

I’ve lost my eye sight

Blinded by chandeliers
