Einsam og forlatt ligg eg

Og hoeyrer vinden kviskre om krigaraand

Meir og meir driv mitt sinn mot nord

For vinden farar aldri med loegn

Me skal ikkje la oss blende

Inn I skogen naar ikkje lyset

Mot vinden fraa nord ma sjoel lyset vike

Mot nor og kulda vendar me oss

Berre der kan me finna fred

I ei verd der skaparen driv med haan

Er kulda din ven

Til den evige me overgjer oss

Her endar ei oerkeslaus vandring

Til jord kjem me aldri attende

Me skal vakna ein betre stad

Alone and forsaken I lie
