Mein Gott, wie lang ist das jetzt her

Wie lang schon vorbei

Die Tage fliessen so dahin

Das leere Leben fällt ihr schwer

Wenn/wo Erinnerung nicht reicht

Und im Glas ist nichts mehr drin

Da war der Urlaub

In der Toskana

Er war aufmerksam und lieb

Und der Verlobungsring

Die Szene mit dem Kuss

Als er vor ihr auf die Knie ging

Und sein Blick

Ist alles was ihr blieb

Immer wieder

Sieht sie sich die Videos

Von früher an

Immer wieder

Weil es nie mehr so

Schwerelos einfach

Wie’s damals war, werden kann

Wenn das Gefühl die Leiden schafft

Spürt man den Schmerz

Doch wenn er nachlässt, was bleibt dann

Ne' Menge nichts keine Kraft

Das schwarzes Loch war mal ein Herz

Das Glas ist leer und starrt sie an

Kindergeburtstag

Torte und Kerzen

Und sie strahlt mittendrin

Und ihr jüngster bläst

Alle auf einmal aus

Alles klatscht, alles macht Sinn

Aber wo ging das alles hin

Morgens fällt der Grund

Fürs Aufstehen schwer

Diese Leere füllt ihr Glas

Und macht es immer wieder leer

The empty life is difficult for her

When/where memory is not enough

And there is nothing left in the glass

Then there was the vacation

In Tuscany

He was attentive and kind

And the engagement ring

The scene with the kiss

As he knelt in front of her

And his look

Is all she has left

Again and again

Does she watch the videos

From earlier

Again and again

Because it's never like that again

Weightless easy

How it was back then can become

When feeling creates suffering

Can you feel the pain?

But when it wears off, what remains

A lot nothing no power

The black hole was once a heart

The glass is empty staring at her

children's birthday

cake and candles

And she shines right in the middle

And her youngest is blowing

All off at once

Everything goes, everything makes sense

But where did it all go?

The ground falls in the morning

Hard to get up

This emptiness fills her glass

And keeps emptying it
