Seltsam im Nebel zu wandern

Seltsam so allein

Kein Mensch sieht den andern

Er hört ihn nur rufen und schrein

Keiner ist weise

Der nicht das Dunkel kennt

Das unentrinnbar und leise von allem ihn trennt

Seltsam im Nebel zu wandern

Seltsam so allein

Es verschwindet doch von Zeit zu Zeit

Ein Stückchen von der Einsamkeit

Und ich komme in eine Ewigkeit

Des Augenblicks

Damit dieser Augenblick wirklich ewig wird

Mußsich der Nebel verziehn

Und die Klarheit

Das alldurchdringende sehn

Mußfür die Einsamkeit stehn

Und dann in das immer hinein
