E per una volta ancora

dal tempio del cuore mio

io canto la mia preghiera

al grande architetto, a Dio

io so che tu mi ascolti

e che non dormi mai

io so che tu ci ami

se siamo figli tuoi

ritorna un po' fra noi

ormai siamo tutti sporchi

e pieni di avidità

e sono giò secchi i pozzi

dell’acqua dell’umiltà

per questo mio Signore

non aspettare più

illumina di amore

il buio dove noi

siamo caduti ormai

e la tua luce sarà

la salvezza

la nuova luce sarà

nella tua luce sarà

la speranza

la nuova luce sarà

per quelli che hanno fame

per chi non ne può più

di tutte queste infamie

di guerre fra di noi

che siamo figli tuoi

e la tua luce sarà

e per una volta ancora

restiamo sospesi noi

al filo di una preghiera

con l’acqua alla gola ormai.
