You sang a song to me, a song I can’t forget.

And I know better now to ask, no surprises in the end.

The stars are fading faster through these years I starve to hear.

As I followed in your footsteps and my youth it disappears.

Will you still wait on me?

I’m waiting on my promised day.

When all at once these dreams are gone.

In it’s own fair time all these colors fade away.

I’ve touched the day and I’ve tasted light on the surface where we breathe.

The distance grows between it and the spiral starts to fall.

As I gently turn those pages and I’m slowly growing old.
