Expectations grown just to bury

We’re just sons and daughters left to wander through the waters

Is it sink or swim in this world we’re living in?

Oh, my love when it gets dark

I know you’re feeling lost like this

But we’re still standing at the edge

And I can’t see through this raging storm

My head is heavy but this heart’s still warm

What my mother told me, what they sold m, didn’t quite add up right

So we’ll pay our dues and follow clues, looking for diamonds
