Сорвались с облака два ангела вниз,

Встретились на белом мосту.

Закружила их листва белая,

Да вдвоем замерзли к утру.

А перья — пальцы раскинув веером в грязь,

Глотая придорожную пыль

Поднялись с колен, да пошли в народ,

Спотыкаясь, через поле ковыль.

Травы пели им про Бога любовь,

Люди про горе войну,

И сказал один: «Возвращайся, брат,

Рассказать отцу».

Два ангела да на одно лицо.

Полети, скажи про гордый их нрав,

Что цепями тянет к земле,

Ну, а я пока останусь здесь,

Кабы чего не натворили себе.

Так и разошлись, каждый принял свое,

Махнули рукою во след,

Так и живет теперь промеж нас зверей

Уж вторую тысячу лет.

Так мы и сидим, закрыв от огня

Собственной ладонью лицо,

Сидят у церкви жених с невестою,

Небо молчит, ржавеет кольцо.

Two angels fell down from the cloud,

We met on the white bridge.

White foliage swirled them,

Yes, both of us froze by morning.

And feathers - fingers spread like a fan in the dirt,

Swallowing roadside dust

They got up from their knees, but went to the people,

Stumbling across the feather grass field.

The herbs sang love to them about God,

People about grief war,

And one said: "Come back, brother,

Tell your father."

Two angels for one face.

Fly, tell me about their proud disposition,

What chains pull to the ground,

Well, I'll stay here for now

If only they hadn't done something to themselves.

And so they parted, each took his own,

They waved their hand in the wake,

So the animals now live between us

Already the second thousand years.

So we sit, closed from the fire

face with own hand,

The bride and groom are sitting at the church,

The sky is silent, the ring is rusting.
