Le vent peignait la mer en blanc

Les vagues dansaient en murmurant

Leur indéchiffrable message

Il y avait jusqu’au pieds des dunes

Comme un très long frisson d'écume

Qui venait caresser la plage

Tout était vrai

A l’Est les bâtiments blancs

Disparaissaient dans l’air brûlant

Comme s’ils dansaient dans les mirages

Et cela faisait bien vingt ans

Que la terre, les bêtes et les gens

Attendaient que viennent l’orage

Le temps passait avec une lenteur extrême

Ils étaient étendus tous deux

Dans un endroit de sable creux

A quelques mètres du rivage

Lui avait les paupières baisées

Comme pour mieux s’abandonner

Quand elle caressait son visage

Tout était vrai

Le monde c'était leur bonheur

Leur peau brûlée par la chaleur

L’amour qu’on fait sur une plage

Ils étaient tout à leur plaisir

De loin ils entendaient venir

Les premières gouttes de l’orage

Il la serra contre lui

Il leva le bras droit

Et un éclair les foudroya
