La maschera è piccola

ma non troppo piccola

è grande abbastanza da confondermi

il velo è piccolo

quasi invisibile

ma copre abbastanza la realtà della nostra storia.

Le apparenze, le apparenze forse ingannano

Le differenze anche a Firenze ci separano

io ci sono perchè ci credo

ci sono anche se non ti vedo

nascosta dietro il tuo velo

e tu guardi lontano… il mio orizzonte che diventa trasparente

prendiamo il nostro pezzo di cielo

Le distanze piccole

quasi invisibili

ma grandi abbastanza… siamo qua

nella nostra gabbia

e fammi toccare

le cose che non hai detto

o è solo il miraggio di volare via con te.
