Du warst irgendwie erstaunt

Als ich dir sagte: Es tut mir leid.

Doch dieses Mal war es dir wohl ernst,

nun sitz ich hier und grüble nach.

Es ist leicht für einen blinden Mann

Am hellichten Tag nichts als schwarz zu seh’n.

Für einen Tauben hört sich Stille an

So wie lachen und wie weinen

Denn er hört die Stille nicht.

Es klingt seltsam, doch ist es wahr,

daß ich dir noch nie so nahe war.

Jetzt, wo du dich von mir entfernst,

nur das Warum ist mir nicht klar.

Von Liebe leben ist nicht schwer,

wenn man selber verliebt und glücklich ist.

Doch dafür schmerzt es umso mehr,

wenn man einen Menschen braucht,

und es ist keiner für dich da.

Ich weiß nicht mehr aus noch ein,

dreh' mich im Kreis und halt wieder an.

Einsamkeit ist wie ein See,

und sein Grund ist die Vergangenheit.

Doch so sehr ich mich auch bemüh,

bleib ich doch blind, und sehe schwarz,

und ich lausche in mich hinein,

doch die Stille in mir ist

erdrückend wie ein schwerer Stein.
