Keeping an eye on all sides

I feel like I’m throwing rocks

Someone tipped you off

You took all your time to hide

To wait and watch you redraw lines

This is no time for rants and raves and broken, blown-out ruses

To build this studied, practiced emotional distance

Once more in the thick of it

I guess I’m getting the hang of counting backwards from a hundred

But I guess it’s probably too late for me to learn to read a clock
