Lucy is desperate to get away

She’s sick and tired of what the DJs play

On the bus journey home, she’s in a little world of her own

Lucy looks when she’s feeling bored

At her horizons and they’re not very broad

She’s beginning to feel that every hamster rides the wheel

She thinks it’s hard living with number one

Until she tries living with what she has become…

Lucy thinks of her reason to be

And her mood changes seasonally

She would jump at the chance to find a tune to which she could dance

Lucy badly wants to crash that gate

But knows she can’t afford to over-gyrate

She’s making a space where all her plans can fall into place

She’s getting through a stack of books beside her bed
