Giver of life are you coming soon?

I’ve been waiting patiently

Here in the room of spirit and time

Floating in aether trying not to lose sight of…

A sense of purpose that seems to pass me by

While waiting for you to arrive

God, will you just take me away?

I don’t deserve to suffer in this place

My life isn’t what I thought it’d be

The ire inside is burning away what’s left of me

Destiny, where have you been?

I’ve been waiting here for you!

Bringer of light, why can’t you see?

We’re lost, hungry, desperate, in need

Without you, none of us are whole

Becoming ghosts in the grip of the undertow

The salt is coating my eyes and water’s filling my lungs

God, will you just take me away?

I don’t deserve to suffer in this place

Too often it’s the deepest pain

That eventually empowers us to change
