A heavy letter

Sat alone on the counter

All afternoon until in the rest of the house all the rest of the lights fell.

Did you open it slow, or did you already know?

I’ve had the same dream every

night played it back a million times but no matter what i say they still carry

you away.

But I can’t grow broader shoulders and I can’t hold both your

daughters on my own.

That I’m cloudy with no

chance for a normal life.

And I’m so scared that someday could be any night
