Stranger's March - No. 2

It’s been so long that I forgot what to do at first

Nothing’s coming back to me

It’s only getting worse

I can only think of lines I’ve heard on TV

Only know the people that are put in front of me

I’ll meet your eye and shake your hand

And I’ll try to say something we both will understand

I’ve no protection from the fear

Gets to everyone

It isn’t all that comforting

I’m not the only one

Strangers march in silhouette

The missing friend that ain’t found yet

And everybody says they’re bored to death

While the weeks go by through a neon sign

And I’m always looking, all the time

Stiff and sore from all the work it takes to repair

Reckless damage, side by side

Time to compare

I can’t believe the same old story coming out of my mouth

Give yourself all of the glory of a tire blowing out

Adding up the pointless scoring

Another shot below the belt

It’s all the same, it’s getting boring

Missing love you never felt

Wait all night to take effect

Something that I missed

'Cause what I need, I still don’t have

Don’t even know what it is
