Klein Häschen

Wollt spazieren gehen

Spazieren ganz allein

Da hat’s das Bächlein nicht gesehn

Und plumps fiel es hinein

Das Bächlein floss dem Tale zu

Dort wo die Mühle steht

Und wo sich ohne Rast und Ruh

Das große Mühlrad dreht

Ganz langsam drehte sich das Rad

Fest hielt’s der kleine Hase

Und als er endlich oben war

Sprang er vergnügt ins Gras

Er hatte es geschafft und rief

Das Leben macht mir Spaß

Dann lief das Häschen

Schnell nach Haus

Vorbei war die Gefahr

Die Mutter noch so froh

Ihr Häschen endlich wieder da

Sie schüttelt ihm das Felchen aus

Bis dass es trocken war

Walk all alone

The brook didn't see it then

And it fell into it with a thump

The brook flowed towards the valley

Where the mill is

And where without rest and peace

The big mill wheel turns

The wheel turned very slowly

The little rabbit held on tight

I enjoy life

Then the bunny ran

Fast home

The danger was over

The mother still so happy

Your bunny is finally back

She shakes the whitefish out of him
