Jo ich fühle mich kraftlos, müde und schwach

Bin physisch intakt bloß ein psychisches Wrack

Und wieder eine düstere Nacht

Ziellos und alleine in der Wüste verbracht

Manchmal denke ich, ich hab alle Flüge verpasst

Auch die Zeit für die allerletzten Züge wird knapp

Ich wollte schon woanders sein

Vor langer Zeit — wie kann das sein

Ich seh die Sanduhr verrinen

Jedes Sandkorn dadrinnen

Es frisst mich wie ein Bandwurm von innen

Und jeder von uns muss mithalten im Gleichschritt

Die Zeit hat meine Mutter mit Falten gezeichnet

Irgendwann verwischen unsere Spuren im Sand

Noch sind die Uhren brilliant — wir wissen nur nicht wie lang

Ich seh am boden wie der Sand sich zur Erinnerung häuft

Und vergesse kurz, daas meine Zeit im Hintergrund läuft

Ja der Sandsturm verwischt im Sand spuren

Und irgendwann dort da wo wir langfuhrn'

Guck die Zeit die wir haben verdammt kurz

Wir führen den Kampf nur, in der Sanduhr

Und die Zeit hat sich in deine Beziehung gedrängt

Früher war dieses Gefühl unbegrenzt

Heute spürst du diese Liebe gedämpft

Denn du bist nicht mehr dieser frühere Mensch

Freunde für immer das sind Kindergedanken

Heute sind Freunde heuchelnde Spinner mit Hintergedanken

Dir geht es so wie allen andern davor

Als Oma starb hat Mutter ihre Mama verloren

Morgen ist heute schon weg — wir sind Zeuge vom jetzt

Auf deinem Spielplatz steht heute ein Gebäudekomplex

Und irgendwo verschüttet liegt dein Glückspfennig

Doch keine Macht der Welt macht geschehenes rückgängig

Ich will zurück in diese Zeiten als der Schmerz weg war

Doch Kalenderseiten wehen weg wie Herbstblätter

Today friends are feigned weirdos with ulterior motives

When grandma died, mother lost her mother

There is a building complex on your playground today

I want to go back to those times when the pain was gone
