Suppression - Nautical Mile

I take a look back at my life and I’m wondering how I’m still alive

The puzzle is never ending and this piece won’t fit without it breaking

It’s eating away inside my brain, day after day I’m wasting away

I’m falling apart, it’s such a shame, please release me from this pain

Cause I’m on my way, I’ve been down and out for a while

I’ve got myself to blame, I’ve been drowning in my own denial

Blinded by the daily grind, negative emotions control my mind

I’ve been trying hard to drown it out, the days are getting longer, my time’s

Running out

As my body’s feeling lifelss, I make way through the smoke and th darkness

Question I ask everyday, will my conscience set me free?

I can’t seem to view my way through, it’s getting harder and harder to breathe

But I know I won’t concede

Cause I’m on my way, I’ve been down and out for a while

I’ve got myself to blame, I’ve been drowning in my own denial

These things they take from me, I never wanted to be defeated, and that’s the

Way it goes, and it’s the way you left me

Hear me out, I don’t wanna lose control, take the knife from out my back, and

Hide it where nobody knows

A lifetime of mistakes there’s no one else to blame

But a chance to show those who ever doubted me
