When you bit into me

I felt your claws

And your teeth

I hope there’s not something left

Flowing through

My bloodstream

You drink it down

I spit it out

Compress your lungs and get it loud

I feed your belt through the loops

You stand up straight and I sleep ‘til noon

But I would rather rest

When you bit into me

Breaking backs and molding minds

But getting answers half the time
