Sometimes I think that dying will be like waking from a dream

But I lose track of what’s real life when there’s no one around that needs me

On the floor at 5 AM, I can‘t remember where I am

With all the feelings I was dreaming still as real as this new setting

Like the dream is just a play still going on in the next room

You come awake to realize that the door is locked behind you

And all you’ve done is leave your place because the dawn was beckoning

Now the play continues on whether or not you get back in

Yeah, you‘re standing in the great hall of reality again

The problem with your dreams is that they’re often about love

In a futuristic wasteland where she saves you from yourself

In this last one I‘m depressed in some post-apocalypse

And I cannot leave the bed unless the order leaves her lips

And the walls are full of holes through which I watch her come and go

And her love is manifested in the way she keeps her clothes on

She gets underneath the covers and says «Everything is golden»

Then touches me just to reassure me that I still have my moments

While the sunlight through the skylight makes the room look saturated

I wonder

Does she really want to touch me or just want to make me happy?

And she holds me to the way that she believes that I can be

I’d say most things that we love they happen mostly in our heads
