The early morning fog dissipates above the sea

Blockaded enemy territory, all vessels considered enemy

A steamer appears upon the horizon, now doomed to it’s final voyage

The seas no longer calm, beckoning to swallow its wreckage

Starboard side, torpedo strikes, plumes of smoke arise

Water, coal and dust sent hurling to the sky

Rapidly submerging to the depths, engulfed by hellish waves

Hundreds trapped within the walls, meet their watery graves

The freezing water draws them in

The immense waves, spell certain death

Icy winds, Lucifer’s breath

Trapped now, beneath the water

Corpses float among the slaughter

Consumed by waves into the depths below

Forever lost to oblivion they go

Panic and disorder

Nothing left to see here now

Man the engines, back to war

Another victim awaits

Hundreds of tons of rusted steel

Condemned to the sea

A justified end to these men

Dying for smuggling

Drowning

Asphyxiation

Obliteration
