Underneath the surface where I came unstuck

Dove too fast, dove too deep when I shouldn’t have

Never thought this action would have consequence

This time the mousetrap got me fair and square

Head first into oblivion blinded by the sun

Bone, rock, stone and skin, that’s the way it went

I washed up on the shore one summer just by rabbit hill

Clouded vision, hard to breathe, I cannot see,

I need to swim, I’ve gotta fight here and now
