The buildings just keep getting taller, open spaces dem a getting smaller

They’re building more universities, and destroying diversity

But where will all the little animals run, to find shelter from the burning sun

If we let them cut down all the trees, and spread their industrial disease

Have they heard the ocean so deep, or witnessed the waterfalls weep

Do you think that they could be so blind, to bring the end of humankind

Oh Mama, I see that You’re bleeding

Oh Mama, I feel Your pain in my soul

Mama I will do my best to teach them

Mama not to hurt You so

I see them use You, see every day how they abuse You

Oh Lord how they break You, see every day how they rape You

Do you even care that She is slowly dying

We got to make a change now, if not for yourself then do it for your children

Who can deny that things have been getting so strange around here

And who can deny that it’s been getting harder and harder to breathe

And who can deny that the species have been disappearing by the dozens, daily

And who can deny that it’s been getting hotter and colder and hotter and colder

every year

They’re sucking the blood of the Earth

They’re scratching at the heart of Mama Earth

They’re fracturing the body of Mama Earth

They’re sucking the blood of the Earth

And we all play a part in their plan

We all play a part, overstand

We all let them lead us by the hand

And watch as they destroy our homeland, our Motherland
