No days different

The sun will rise to wake and my

Young days are distant

Playing tricks with my mind

The park I used to play

Has scuffs and marks from different names

The friends I grew up with

Now work for jobs they’ll always hate

Praying life’s lottery

Picks them out and brings escape

I’m known as the lucky one for

Breaking institutions gates

All I know is, I’m getting older

As each day makes its end

My last is getting closer

I’ve always something new to say

A friend I’ve made, a place I’ve stayed

A song I’ve sing to keep me high

Watching life pass me by

The stories are living

Living my life

The only way of freezing time

Is take a picture to remind

You how good you had it then

And how long you still got left

I count my blessings

I’m blessed to be alive

All I know is, I’m getting older

As each day makes its end

My last is getting closer

A rusting clock tells my time

A weathered life of wind and rhymes

And one day I will have my child

To carry on what I can’t do

Find a future made from new

And when, I breathe my last breath

Please know I’m content

Knowing, you’re the me that’s left

To walk along this earth

Make choices as you learn

Make memories

And love

You’ll love

You’ll love
