I get up and leave your side

I throw my bag on that chopper

We take off and we fly

Miles out into the Gulf of Mexico

The guys out here joke about Jody

And how he got my girl and gone

And the chopper touches down

Throw my bag back in my truck

And I’m your arms bound

Kinda looking out at the waves

He said he missed his baby girl

He only got to see for a couple days

I said we’re almost home buddy Mama’s got her

And a smile went across his face
