Ik had een hele fijne jeugd

Van jongs af aan ken ik al vreugd'

Ik werd omringd door veel liefde en geluk

Ik ben nog jong en ook nog klein

Toch wil ik hen heel dankbaar zijn

Die voor me zorgden, dat gaat nooit meer stuk

Moet ik me schamen voor de jaren die ik van hen kreeg

Voor die twee mensen, zo lief en zo zacht

Ik ben hen dankbaar, heel mijn leven

Want ik ben toch hun kind

Ik heb niemand ooit zo bemind
