I’ve gone through life letting myself

Be talked out of what I knew to believe

I’ve sold Jesus short by listening to all sorts

Of people say my faith was naïve

Well, didn’t I read that the things of God

The world would consider absurd

So I’ve made a vow that starting right now

I’ll walk by faith in every word

And if I fall, well, at least I’ll fall

Having done my all to follow Jesus

What would I lose if God proved untrue

I’d be no worse off than before

But if I am right, then think of the life

I’ll enjoy from the hand of the Lord

Let it be known from this moment on

I’ll walk by faith and not by sight

I’ll focus my eyes on Jesus my prize

And not waver to the left or the right

And if I fall, well, at least I’ll fall

Faith is the substance of things hoped for

The evidence of things that aren’t seen

So I know I must give Him all of my trust

And welcome all that this walk will bring
