Marcher des heures à travers la forêt

Respirer par le nez, se retourner jamais

Mettre un pied d’vant l’autre pour trouver le repos

Poser les balises d’un monde nouveau

À la tombée du jour, atteindre la clairière

Ermite volontaire, évadé de l’enfer

Faire une prière et faire un feu de bois

Boire à la rivière pour la première fois

Déplier la toile pour s’en faire un abri

Briser le silence en poussant un grand cri

Crier à tue-tête pour entendre l'écho

Et compter les étoiles, couché sur le dos

Baigné dans la lumière d’une aurore boréale

Réaliser que la beauté est sidérale

Ralentir le rythme de la course folle

Folâtrer un instant sans but, sans boussole

Sentir le vent caresser son visage

Ajuster sa mire, se fondre au paysage

Ajouter des secondes au film de sa vie

Vidanger son cerveau, tomber endormi

Plonger dans le lac du pays de Morphée

Féconder la terre où germent les idées

Débusquer dans le bois le grand caribou

Boucaner dans la pipe du bon Manitou

Chanter avec le lièvre, le renard et le loup

Louvoyer vers la cache du carcajou

Jouer de la vielle avec un farfadet

Descendre dans la grotte avec les feux follets

Laisser la poésie décider de son sort

Sortir au matin et accepter la mort

Mordre dans la vie sans penser à demain

Maintenir le cap tout droit vers son destin

Walking for hours through the forest
