When I was young I bought the dream of a possesive love

Of men of women cut in half by a jealous god

Fractured souls bound to mourn for their other halves

Hoping they can bump into the one’s they lost

And I guess I felt that love was like a cure for pain

A gaurantee that I would never feel alone again

Took the present moment, tried to make it stay in place

But it felt like masking sun rays

But a prophet wrote a poem about love

Said it’s like an Ocean between our souls

And that we offer up it’s deeds like the trees give their seeds to the world

So I open my heart to wind, I’ve taken on it’s trials and it’s blessings

And we out walk holding hands but we understand that love is infinite
