Waiting as mountains come and go

I want to find a better home inside my skin

These ancient textures took their hold so long ago

They built their walls and they don’t want to let me in

But I keep falling

Keep going

Keep writing these poems

To find out what’s frozen inside of me

So let me in these moments

Let me begin the healing

Let me fix what’s broken

And melt away your wounds

Let me be your father

Let me take care of you

Let go of yourself and I’ll show you what love can do

Forging my path along the snow

The day comes in and keeps me warm but not for long

I thought by now that I would know

How deep the layers of my armour really go

But I keep falling

I still fall the same

I still fall for the same old stories

Like it’s all a game

And all

Ya we’re all the same

I don’t go but my shame goes for me Into that deepened cave
