Un río pasa y lo miro, río abajo va

Un río de agua de río, que baja hasta al mar

¿A dónde queda el mar, qué tan lejos está?

Un río, viejo camino para un nuevo andar

A veces solo y vacío sin ganas de hablar

¿A dónde irá a parar tanta soledad?

Y cuando un río pasa, adentro mío, por mi voz

Y como si volara se me inunda el corazón

También río yo

Un río pasa y me mira, río abajo voy

Un río de agua dormida que calienta el sol

¿A dónde queda el sol, qué tan lejos estoy?

A veces viene triste, negro, rojo y sin canción

Viene arrastrando ausencia hecha de guerra y de dolor

Ya no río yo…

Buscamos todos lo mismo, sentimos igual

Andamos todos siguiendo un mismo caudal

Con miedo de a la orilla jamás llegar

Y cuando el río canta como queriendo olvidar

Y cuando de mi pecho ya se quiere desbordar

A river passes by and I look at it, downstream it goes

A river of river water, which goes down to the sea

Where is the sea, how far is it?

A river, an old road for a new walk

Sometimes alone and empty without wanting to talk

Where will so much loneliness go?

And when a river passes, inside of me, through my voice

And as if I were flying, my heart floods

I laugh too

A river passes by and looks at me, downstream I go

A river of sleeping water that warms the sun

Where is the sun, how far away am I?

Sometimes it comes sad, black, red and without a song

It comes dragging absence made of war and pain

I don't laugh anymore...

We all seek the same, we feel the same

We are all following the same flow

With fear of never reaching the shore

And when the river sings as if wanting to forget

And when my chest already wants to overflow

I laugh too...
