You said tonight would be fun, just like when we were 21.

The same overdressed girls the same terrible beer, but if I’m true to form

insert some snarky joke here.

You vowed to see women never, then vow to love us forever.

You said ignore what you feel.

Stop your heart, it isn’t real.

But I don’t wanna stop my heart from beating, and I can’t stop my blood from

over heating, and I’ll never stop all men from cheating.

What is a poem, but a meaningless token?

What are your feelings if they’re all unspoken?

What is a heart for if it can’t be broken?

You say I’m foolish if I give them one more chance, and maybe I’m a fool to

want another dance.

We danced in Brabant once, we had that chance before.

But dances end and chances slip out through the door.

Can’t we just say what we mean, and mean what we say?

Or do we have to wear masks and put on a play?

If you want to act like fools, I hope you have fun.

Cause this fool is out.
