Sun on Snow - Maple Bee

As the sun combats my night I see a grain of sense

A little shift of clarity to bring me back again

But something’s changed between us I’m on my own today

Surrounded by these things we have our life feels like a play

Once soft I feel so cold again I’m thirsting for a drink

The snow is suffocating life out of this body I think

The sun she bends her way down now and slipping to the earth

She buries up the gift in me the part that’s never hurt

This day she’s moving on I guess I feel not very safe

A little jolt in a little sense could bring me back again

But something’s gone between us the words they’ve never strayed

The truth is sworn with guilt from me the words I should have said
