Vrijdagavond weer

Papa kijkt met ons tv

Niks biljarten, niks café

Mama heeft de auto mee

Wat is de kamer kaal

Zelfs de kat in het portaal

Vindt de toestand abnormaal!

Maandagavond, dinsdagavond, woensdagavond

Aldoor is het laat!

Mama mist de series

Mama draaft en rent

Mama doet de moedermavo

Mama is voor halve dag student

En ik denk dat ik d’r goed begrijp

Vandaar dat ik het huiswerk typ

En af en toe zal helpen met een som

Aan papa die d’r potlood slijpt

(Of in de keuken knoflook knijpt)

Vraagt ze soms — ineens -: Jan

Ben ik dom?

Wat is de kamer kaal / Mmmmmm

Zelfs de kat in het portaal / Mmmmmm

Vindt de toestand abnormaal / Mmmmmm

Maandagmorgen, dinsdagmorgen, woensdagmorgen

Soms is ze te laat:

Ze hoeft van mij geen briefje

Zelfs niet voor 'absent'

Mama doet de moedermavo

Mama laat de boel de boel en rent

Een sinaasappel in d’r tas

Ze wou dat ze nog zestien was

Ze vindt d’r leraar Engels 'sympathiek'

D’r leraar Frans, dat zag ze pas

Zat vroeger bij d’r in de klas

En naast haar zit een ouwe heer die spiekt

Friday night again

Dad watches TV with us

No billiards, no cafe

Mama brought the car

How bare the room is

Even the cat in the portal

Finds the condition abnormal!

Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night

It's always late!

Mama misses the series

Mom is trotting and running

Mama does the mother mavo

Mum is a student for half a day

And I think I understand it correctly

That's why I type the homework

Not even for 'absent'

Mama lets go and run

She wished she was still sixteen

Her French teacher, she just saw that

Used to be in her class

And beside her is an old gentleman who is cheating
