Был я счастлив, был я весел,

Не писал стихов и песен,

И не думал это делать и впредь.

Но жена красотка Саша

Родила мне дочку Машу

Дочке надо колыбельную петь.

Что за милая картина

Если крупный мужичина

Сладким голосом ребёнку поёт,

Что уснули рыбки в речке

И что спят в полях овечки,

Только Машенька никак не уснёт.

Но не пишется и точка

Повзрослеет скоро дочка,

Да и сам уже дожил до седин.

Тут какой-то чёрный парень

В Банголоре на базаре

За 2 доллара мне продал СD

Парень был не из браминов,

Диск был не из магазина

Что написано на нём не понять.

На обложке лишь картина —

То ли баба, толь мужчина

То ли 8 рук и ног, то ли 5.

В повседневности текучей

Я забыл про этот случай

И в заботы с головою нырнул,

Но однажды, стоя в пробке,

Диск я вынул из коробки

И от скуки в CD-чейнчжер воткнул.

Я слыхал поинтересней

Пол часа — одна лишь песня.

И почти переключить на «U2»

Но в районе Караванной

Погрузился вдруг в нирвану

И очнулся на Литейном мосту.

С той поры проблем не стало

Если вдруг семья устала

Я включаю свой любимый мотив.

Засыпает крошка Маша,

Рядом с ней красотка Саша,

На пол падает овчарка Степан.

Тихо дремлют рыбки в речке,

Сладко спят в полях овечки

И тебе уже пора на бочок.

Утром встретит нас веселье

Без изжоги, без похмелья,

А пока — спокойной ночи, дружок.
