Parece ser que fuimos amasados

Con barro y una exhalación de amor

Que la criatura que hemos heredado

Fue la obra magna del Gran Escultor

Que al no poder mirarse en un espejo

Porque su máscara nunca existió

Quiso encarnar su esencia sin reflejo

Moldeando el alma que nos infundió

Pero seguimos ciegos

Queriendo ser moldes de yeso

Y muertos que imitan la vida

Apenas un gélido beso

A un resto de cera perdida

Pero esa forma humana del deseo

Que no creyó que su alma era inmortal

Se conformó con ser sólo un trofeo

Y alzó su estatua sobre un pedestal

Y aún consciente de que en el vaciado

El bronce es solamente una aleación

Prefiere ser un mineral helado

Sin más virtud que la repetición

Y así seguimos ciegos

Queriendo ser moldes de yeso

Y muertos que imitan la vida
