Landscape alone

The moon on the road

And the echo of the homeless bird has flown

In a night so clear it disappeared at dawn

I wait for you in seasons so skewed

As to feel old and yet appear as new

And to feign a line and be a circle too

Nature second best

To the plaintive mind’s guest

Though the earth stood still be sure

I did not rest

Though my heart was strong

My heart headed west

And the empty howls of lust

Did sound like thunder

And the milk that came as dust

Did make me wonder

Is there anyway to trust

What’s way out yonder?
