Let there be angels with halos and wings

Let there be rings on the moon

Let there be hope in the hearts of the people

Thinking we’re leaving too soon

I know I have seen them in love and despair

Crying for money and peace

And I know I have tried just to block out the sound

Of a person who has less than me

There are children who die for the right to be heard

But their words fall on ears that can’t hear

There are women who stay in a house that’s not home

Cause they can’t recognize their own fears

Why do we suffer and why do we wait

Why do we think «It's not me»

Who can talk who can listen

And open some eyes

Create the world we want to see

I can feel them inside me every time that I stumble
